There’s a saying that goes, “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”

When it comes to starting your own business, there’s a few “C’s” I like to follow. “Commitment”, “Consistency”, and of course “Coffee” on most days. Commitment, to yourself to be better today than you were yesterday. Consistency, to keep going, growing, and learning whether you have a good or bad day. Coffee, well that’s self-explanatory, (I’ll take a latte please). But to me, the fourth “C” is one of the more important things behind a successful business. It’s not Costs, Creativity, or Clientele (although these are also important when running your own business). But rather, Community.
Your community does not directly correlate to your sales or revenue, but they’re the people in your corner when the tough times with entrepreneurship comes to the surface.
Need a loved one to help you set up your vendor table at a farmer’s market? Or a loved one gives your business some love with a shoutout on social media. Maybe you confide in someone with your business woes who gladly listens and supports your ventures, even when you’re not sure if ”you’re doing the right thing”. All of that and more is how that fourth “C” can help launch your business forward. What your Community does for your business may not be directly in the next sales report. But what it does do for you and your entrepreneurial endeavors is purely unique to your experience, and something that is completely priceless.

I love this perspective JD. Thanks for sharing!
